Marshmallow, Fruit And Cream Salad

Who said that a fruit salad contains only fruit or maybe a little bit of fruit juice? It often happens that we get a little bored eating always the same thing. But it also happens that we do not have information to help our imagination run a bit. Perhaps, we believe that some combination will not work well, and then we prefer not to try. Until some “creative from the kitchen” arrives and gives us a lesson on how food can be integrated. Something like this must have thought whoever invented this  marshmallow, fruit and cream salad.

Marshmallow, fruit and cream salad recipe

Here we are going to banish the idea that a fruit salad has only fruits, preparing a delicious  salad of marshmallows, fruits and cream.

  • White marshmallows are more recommended than colored ones because the latter stain the cream and leave a strange color in the salad, although they are more beautiful.
  • The dessert should be consumed the same day it is prepared, therefore make the necessary amount.
  • Open the canned pineapple and drain it at the moment and save the syrup for another preparation.
  • If you don’t like sweet and sour foods, don’t add the celery.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white or colored marshmallows
  • 2 apples
  • 1 can of pineapple sliced
  • 1 stick of celery (optional)
  • ½ cup of grated coconut
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 500 g of cream
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

Utensils:

  • Knife
  • Apple corer
  • Can opener
  • Electric rods
  • Containers
  • Spoon
  • Film paper

  1. First, cut the apple in half and remove the core.
  2. Then, without peeling the apple, cut into cubes of about 2 cm (the size of the marshmallows).
  3. Also chop the pineapple slices of that thickness.
  4. Chop the celery as finely as possible (just the white part).
  5. Then whip the cream to make it creamy and fluffy.
  6. Next, in a bowl, place the pineapple, the grated coconut and also the raisins, and mix.
  7. Separately mix the apple with the whipped cream and add to the previous mixture.
  8. Next, sprinkle on a little sugar.
  9. Finally, add the marshmallows and stir with a ladle.
  10. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Another Marshmallow, Fruit and Cream Salad Recipe

Makes about 18 servings but it will depend on the containers you use to serve.

  • You can sprinkle a little sugar over the creams before beating them.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ kg of marshmallows
  • 1 can of pineapple in syrup
  • ½ kg of green apples
  • ½ kg of red apples
  • Chopped walnuts, 1 cup
  • Single cream, 1 cup
  • Sweet cream, 1 cup

  1. First, remove the center of all the apples.
  2. You can leave them unpeeled if you wish.
  3. Then cut into cubes and place in a large container.
  4. Also chop the pineapples and pour next to the apples.
  5. Chop the walnuts and add as well.
  6. Lastly, add the marshmallows.
  7. In another container, beat the cream with the sweet, until it has a creamy consistency.
  8. Then pour everything over the fruits and marshmallows.
  9. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until serving time.
