Ingredients for the cake
- 200g sugar
- 120 g unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- 200 g of flour
- 120 ml milk
- 1½ teaspoon yeast or baking powder (7.5 g)
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence (5 ml)
- 1 handful of chocolate chips

- 150 g brown sugar
- 125 ml milk
- 90 g of flour
- 125g butter
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract (5 ml)
Ingredients for the cream
- 250g butter
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract (10 ml)
- 250 g icing sugar

Preparation of the dough
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and prepare a cupcake tray with 12 special paper capsules.
- Sift the flour and baking powder into a container and reserve. Beat the butter at room temperature and the sugar.
- Add the eggs one by one until everything is well integrated. Add half of the flour, milk, and vanilla extract. Keep beating.
- Add the remaining flour and beat on low speed until it forms a smooth cream. Add the chocolate chips and distribute in the capsules up to 2/3 of their capacity.
- Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean and dry.
Preparation of the filling
- While you have the cupcakes in the oven, prepare the filling. Put the milk in a saucepan and heat while you add the sugar little by little. Continually stirring, until it boils.
- Add the flour, wait 30 seconds and remove from the heat. Mix well to form a smooth cream. Let it temper.
- When it does not burn to the touch, add the butter at room temperature, stirring as vigorously as possible so that the dough is dense.
- Add the chocolate chips and wait for the cupcakes to be ready (it is not worth trying the mixture… it is raw!).
- Once you have removed the mold from the oven, let it cool in the mold itself for 5 minutes and then transfer them to the rack, so it cools completely.

- Sift the icing sugar and place in a bowl with the vanilla extract and butter. Beat at low speed for one minute. Pick up speed and beat 5 more minutes at medium speed.
- When it is like a white cream, stop beating.
