Ingredients

  • ½ cup of water (125 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon of hop flowers (5 g)

Preparation

4. Hot apple smoothie

  • 2 apples
  • ½ cup of water (125 ml)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the apples.

  • Boil 5 minutes and add the salt.
  • Stir well and consume before it cools.

5. Valerian tea

Valerian is one of the most “famous” plants for fighting nervous anxiety.   • 1 cup of water (250 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of valerian root (10 g)

Preparation

  • Place the water and the valerian root in a saucepan.
  • Heat until boiling. Let the decoction take place for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Filter, sweeten to taste and sip.

6. Lettuce tea

Lettuce is a plant with many relaxing properties. For example, it is used for bathing the baby when he is not getting enough sleep. Likewise, studies such as the one carried out at the University of Alexandria, in Egypt, demonstrate the effectiveness of lettuce oil to promote night rest.

In this way, consumed as an infusion helps people with sleep disorders or nervousness.

  • ½ lettuce head
  • 4 cups of water (1 liter)

Preparation

  • Wash the lettuce leaves well and place in a large saucepan.
  • Add the water and heat until it boils.
  • Cook 10 minutes, remove from heat and let it cool down.
  • Filter and drink up to 2 cups per day (one of them at night).

7. Relaxing herbal tea

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of water (1 liter)

Preparation

  • In a container add all the herbs and mix them well.
  • Extract 4 tablespoons (the rest can be used closed for the next day) and mix with the water in a saucepan.
  • Heat the water and, once it boils, cook for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and drink a cup while it’s still warm.
  • This amount makes 4 cups, so it can be made for 2 days and stored in the fridge.
