Clean the inside of the pots

To remove residues and grease from the inside of the pots, you can take a tea infusion bag and rub it on the areas where the fat is deposited.

Its effectiveness could be due, according to this research carried out by the University of Western Sydney, to its antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Remove grease from the outside of a skillet

To remove the fat from the outside of a pan,  choose one larger than the one you want to clean and pour 4 or 5 tablespoons of baking soda and water.

Place the smallest pan over the mixture and boil for 30 minutes. After this time, it  will be possible to remove the remains of fat easily, without much effort.

This method takes more time, but is an effective way to remove the stubborn fats from the pots.

This eco-friendly liquid soap can be used to wash dishes and kitchen utensils. Its success is based on the combination of the astringent properties of salt with the antibacterial properties of apple cider vinegar. In this way, you leave the kitchen utensils clean for their new use.

Ingredients

  • 3 lemons.
  • 200 g of coarse salt.
  • 100 ml of white vinegar.
  • 200 ml of water.
  • 30 ml dishwasher rinse aid (optional).

Preparation

  • Wash and cut the lemons, unpeeled, into small pieces to be able to blend them well in a blender.
  • The lemon is introduced into the blender, the salt is added and it is processed until they are well integrated. Then , add the vinegar, water, and rinse aid, and whisk quickly until everything is mixed.
  • Afterwards, it has to be placed in a saucepan over medium heat, and  left for about 15 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to avoid sticking.
  • The mixture is poured into a container and allowed to settle. When it is cold, it must be stirred again, as it usually comes out a solid layer.
  • It can be kept in the fridge or in a container with a lid.
  • This product can be used like a normal dishwasher, adding two tablespoons to wash.
